  With our first web site, we tried selling vitamins and health suppliments, and soon found out having a website is very easy. Generating hits, on the other hand is a completely different ball game. First you have to submit to search engines "Do it your self or pay a price".
   Google search vitamin C and you get the first ten out of 28,500,000 results found. We soon realised generating hits off of search engines was not going to be a great wind fall. So we looked at search engine optimization and again for a price or save some money and do it yourself. Some people seem to do alright, but there is alot to know. You need a team of people who know search engine tricks and tips.
  Next we looked into pay per click advertising, "EXPENSIVE" with drawbacks. The websites we were advertising on were, in most cases selling the same items and our ads were placed with other ads selling the same items. So then, we decided to place some pay per click ads on our site to try and offset the cost of advertising. On a page that we were selling vitimine C, we had ten ads from other people selling vitimine C. We started to see a vicious circle, we were paying $1 a click to get someone on our site, and we were making 25 cents for them to leave,       "If they clicked on an ad." On top of that, most hits we did get, were just lookiloos, people shopping around and we don't blame them, it's good to shop around. But there's not many people, who are shopping around on the web get on a site that sells vitimine C or anything else for that matter, and say," I'd better book mark this site", they sell vitimines and by the time they do stop and buy, they could be long gone from your site. We also found maybe, one out of a 100 hits, actually hit the shopping cart and buy something. You need a good profit margin to pay $100 per customer. Leave a message in that persons message box to arrange contact with the owner and make the arangments for placment thats all there is to it. You can right click and save as to get the logo right off of our site, or you can make arrangements with the other site owner and create a custom logo. Then puy it up on your site along with a link and thats it.

We find it is a good Idea to have your logo ready when you join we take jpg, jpeg and gif images. You can use photoshop or you can download a open source equivalant program for free from this website GIMP 2.0 This is a good tool it will do almost anything that photoshop can do and it's free. We don't have alot of faith in search engines, if you think you are going to get rich off of search engines alone we think your mistaken.
